I wanted to make sure our patients are aware of the excellent results we’ve been having with Sculptra Aesthetic, for use as a facial volumizer. I’ve had over 3 years of experience using the product, to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds. It works by replacing lost collagen – but note that this is a gradual process and is not a quick-fix. This will give you a more natural appearance without giving the secret away. Typically patients may require between 2-4 treatments, which will last for up to two years. Time between treatments is spaced by about a month, and is done safely and comfortably with numbing medication. Cost per treatment is $600.
As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases and the skin loses its elasticity, and you will begin to see wrinkles. Sculptra Aesthetic works by replacing lost collagen in a series of treatments. Within the dermis, Sculptra provides a reinforced collagen framework and foundation that restores the look of fullness to shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds that have been depleted over time. Sculptra Aesthetic can be used in the nasolabial folds, the marionette lines, chin wrinkles, and the area that I am most impressed with – treating the cheekbones and temples that are hollowed or sagging. Look at it as a liquid facelift, without the downtime! In addition, for a greater volumizing effect, ask us about the use of Retin-A (a topical collagen stimulator) combined with the Sculptra. The two in concert can work especially well for volumizing in the cheek and mid-facial region. Look up the Sculptra Aesthetic website for more information here.
